Program description: transactional, account-related text messages only. When you opt in, HandyHands209 sends texts triggered by your own activity on the platform: booking confirmations, appointment reminders, pro on-the-way and arrival updates, schedule changes and cancellations, and — for service professionals — new job offers, assignment updates, and payout notices. We do not send marketing or promotional texts under this program.
How you opt in
Consent is collected through an unchecked-by-default checkbox — you must affirmatively tick it. It appears in two places:
- While creating an account at handyhands209.com/signup (customers) or handyhands209.com/freelancer/signup (service professionals).
- Later, from the notification settings inside your account, where you can record SMS consent at any time.
In all cases your phone number is verified with a one-time passcode before any notification text is sent. Opting in is optional and not a condition of purchasing any goods or services — every notification is also available by email.
